zero or low excess pet insurance please

I just took out what I thought was the best value pet insurance I could find for my 2 big labrador retrievers and got the policies in the post today.Very unhappy to see that the excess of which I could not find info online is £90 per dog per claim.Thats just silly because if I could afford that on top of the insurance premiums I wouldn,t need to take out the insurance in the first pleace.
Its m&s basic insurance costing £136.68 a year(11.39 a month) for each dog.Cheap I thought but not when you consider the excess amount.

I would love advice on a good policy with preferably zero excess or a really low excess please. If it has quidco cashback or other incentive then all the better.

Don't think you'll find any with no excess at all. The lowest I found when I did the same sort of trawl a week or 2 back seem to be £50-60. Probably not economic for the insurers to process claims below that sort of level without vastly increased monthly premiums.
PDSA pet insurance is reasonably comprehensive with £50 excess and choice of cover levels, underwritten by AXA, and 20% of the premium goes to the charity.
If you search for pet insurance on Quidco you get about 20 hits so maybe worth a trawl through.
Don't know how old your dogs are but another catch to watch out for is that some insurers want you to cost share [eg: Excess + 20% of the treatment costs] when the dogs get beyond 8 or 9.

There is one Pet Insurance company with ZERO excess and that is PetPals Direct, I am looking into getting this when the free month I have from my puppies breeder expires. My sister has it, and she tells me they pay up within 7 days

NFU Mutual's one is £50 and claims are per condition per year and £100 when your pet reaches 10... not just an overall amount for the year (Ie: £4000 for the year... its £4000 per condition per year... so 2 conditions would be £8000 etc)
