Spread betting can be near identical to trading the underlying instrument - other than the expiry & roll over dates may differ. It IS TRADING AND IT IS GAMBLING - AS TRADING IS ALSO GAMBLING ... I.e. you guess what the market will do then place your bets ! Whether your a bank or an individual.

Yeh people get hung up on nothing, i,e, its gambling, its not gambling, no I'm not gambling but you are cos your spread betting...

Well its ALL gambling !

Okay in actual fact my definition of whether your gambling or not is whether your consistently making profits or not. no matter whether its futures or spread betting !
