Lap Tap have done 2 sets for me and their work is good, far tougher coating than the original usually, only problem is they could do with an in house fitting service, they ideally want your wheels untyred.

Thanks for all the help - have rang my local garage and they are gonna have a look at the weekend and give me a cost. Would get them refurbed but because they are chrome it cannot be done.

"Can chromed alloys be re-chromed?" Sorry, it is impossible to re-chrome alloys in this country or even in Europe, due to legislation involving the chemical process.
The only option for chromed alloys that are scuffed / tarnished is to re painted / powdercoated by specially preparing the surface, and carefully painting with some of the black / chrome effect powders / colours. Please ask for individual quote for refurbishing chrome alloys.

what car is it, my local scrap yard has piles and piles of alloys for next to nothing, sounds like it would be worth hunting ebay for just the 1 new wheel rather than repairing
