Is it worth us switching to a fixed rate tarif? Can we do that on a pre-pay meter? WE are with EDF energy who are the cheapest when we compare- we cannot change from a meter to bills as landlord won't let us. Any ideas?
We pay approx £40 pcm with minimal heating on. We only have storage and convector heaters which are very expensive. Also we are expecting a baby so this winter we'll need to have the heating on more. Any thoughts?

The problem with most prepay meters is the higher unit rates and daily standing charge that you have to pay. Try entering your annual kWh usage into the calculator on this site here as they do not charge extra for prepay.
