Today I spent £1.46 on a bagged salad. Probably could have got it a bit cheaper but I'm on nights at the moment so didn't have much time and had to pop into the little Tesco's. There was a reduced salad for £1.09 but it had prawns in it which are a no no during pregnancy. Actually I also had to fill my car up with petrol on the way to work which cost £43.77 so actually spent £45.23. I am keeping an eye on how many miles I get to a tank because I seem to be burning through the stuff at the moment. Think I am going to check my tyre pressure tomorrow too.
Buy a packet of mixed salad leaf seeds and you can grow your own salad, I have done it for the last few months and it is really easy, I was spending a fortune on bagged leaf salads as I have salad every day for my packed lunch and they were anything between 99p and £1.89 a bag:eek:0 -
Thanks shopaholic. This is definitely something I am going to start doing. i've got some space in my garden so I'm going to start a veggie patch-especially when I'm on maternity leave when I'm going to have a little more time-in between looking after a rowdy toddler and nappies-to spend in the garden.HSBC Visa-High interest-£2349.23 Nat West £2605.18

I did keep to my budget-well within it as well-spent £63 when I had allowed myself £75 so put a fiver on an Asda Christmas saving card and the rest can go towards any accidental overspends. I want to save £100 for Christmas on the Asda card so that we have plenty for extra food/entertaining at Crimbo. Will do pigspoints and see if any mystery shops too.HSBC Visa-High interest-£2349.23 Nat West £2605.18

It's so easy to do isn't it-it's so blooming expensive. I always find if I go to ASda I really keep costs down and I get loads of reduced bargains-cod for £1.60, melons for 30p, salad for 10p-had vowed to give up bagged salad but that was a bargain!-and a pizza for 59p. Muller lites are only 25p at the mo so I picked up some for my packed lunch but left it in the fridge at home annoyingly! I've had to spend £1 on soup and a roll-grrrrr. i booked a hair appointment for Monday-it's been 3 months since my last haircut and I look like a mess so had to bite the bullet-need to look presentable for my job and my own self esteem!HSBC Visa-High interest-£2349.23 Nat West £2605.18

I had my hair done today-set me back £30 eek-but had budgeted for it. Have decided to have it done every three months to keep costs down. I am growing it but am also growing out a fringe so needed a good tidy up. It looks loads better. My hubby gave me £100 to put towards my maternity fund so it's all going well.HSBC Visa-High interest-£2349.23 Nat West £2605.18

Have transfered my HSBC card to MBNA 0% for a year so hopefully this will save me money. These debts are like a milestone round my neck but hopefully will slowly chip away at them. Have so little spare money at the moment and am saving for ML so it is going to be a long struggle but once my unborn child will turn three it will be a little earlier! I'm not going to wish the time away though! I'm happy and healthy with my little family and we will get thereHSBC Visa-High interest-£2349.23 Nat West £2605.18
