Looking 4 Amy

After many "silent messages" on my answer phone from an 08453 number (didn't record full number) I was finally in when this number rang and a possibly Scottish voice told me he was "looking for Amy something or other" who lives at 29, did I know her". I live 4 doors away but don't know the names of the people at 29 because they are new, told him I didn't know Amy and he just rang off. Is this weird, is this some kind of scam?
Should i tell the people at number 29?

This is a technique used by some debt collection agencies to find out info on debtors.0

same as bill. debt collectors will call others in the street to try to find out if a certain person lives at an address there. people have even had them turn up on their door steps asking questions about neighbours. if you tell them to stop calling you they have to as it is nothing to do with you. dont think they should be allowed to do this but there must be a loop hole somewhere.0
