Do what I do....

Go up stairs open the window and speak to them from that, they soon get fed up of looking up at ya especially if the suns in their eyes

or do what a mate did, stick a notice on your gate (if you have one) stating that any uninvited visitors are not welcome and should they decide to knock on his door trying to sell something, by entering past the sign they will be considered trespassers on his property and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.....he don't get pestered by anyone

I tried it myself but I don't have a gate but put a notice on a pole, but some !!!!!! kept robbing it ;(
