My 2 year old Xbox 360 is having problems reading discs.
After 20 mins on the phone to Microsoft (0800 number as well) a very nice man worked out my DVD rom was bust.
As its out of warranty, they will charge me £65, including UPS both ways, to fix it. This also includes 12 month warranty for any problems at all.
Seeing as new Xbox's are still around £150 ish this seems like a good deal?
what do you think?

Didn't microsoft extend the warranty to three years because of all the ring of death issues on thousands of consoles?0

Yep... 2 years extra warranty only covers Red Ring of Death...

Might be possible to buy a drive from somewhere if you do a google.
I kept this address in case I ever wanted to dismantle mine. Might be of use if you are handy.

I'd say that's a bargain. UPS both ways, drive, fitting, testing, extra year warranty - looks like they are working at a loss, so that you remain a happy game-buying MS customer.I have no signature.0
