Shiny/Glossy White Floor Tiles Question

I would love to get the really glossy floor tiles but I`m worried about them being very slippy. Can you get non-slip ones and if so where from?

    I think glossy = slippery.

They'll be such a pain to keep clean and the grout will look terrible. I will never have white floor tiles again as long as I live. Cleaning the kitchen floor daily to a polish and then watching it dirtied again within minutes is enough to destroy a woman!

There is a Holiday Inn near me, and the entrance to the reception is done in really glossy black tiles. Looks like glass. They are not slippery at all, even with people trampling in and out in wet weather, and they can't be very difficult to keep clean, there are not people constantly wiping them over, far from it. I have often wodered how they do it, but it is obviously possible. When we eventually do our kitchen, OH is adamant that she wants these tiles, although not necessarily in black. No doubt they are not cheap, but it would be worth it. I've even tried deliberately with wet shoes to slide on them, but they are fine, better than ordinary tiles even, so if anyone knows what they can be, do please let us know!
