Stuck in a BT contract?

Hi all. I'm a student and set up a BT line for our house. I am about to leave for summer and will be stuck in my contract until Oct!

Ideally, I'd like to get out of it but I'm stuck into my contract so tough.

I need options to save as much money as possible. Can anyone help?

One friend has suggested I simply move out and do not pay any of my bills. BT will only have the old address and I never paid by direct debit so they have no way of tracing me. Is this true?

If not, any help would be amazing!

The easiest option is to pay off the remaining months of the contract.

Its not advisable that you don't pay the bills as it'll effect your credit score
