Incorrect mileage on certificate

I took out a new policy in Nov last year with a different insurance company, through my existing brokers.
I am in between jobs this week and thought I'd better change the mileage allowance from 6000 pa to 16000 pa. My old job was only 2 miles away, but my new job which i start next week is 18 miles away. So I dug out my documents.
To my horror I realised the broker had not updated the vehicles mileage from the previous year, so it was still showing 51000(the mileage in Nov 06), when in fact it should have been 56000, which it was at when it took the new policy out in Nov 2007. What should I do now as my car is already showing 59000. I can see this getting complicated:mad:
I have the last 2 MOTs showing the mileage at 51k at 11/06 and 56k at 11/07.
What would be my best course of action.
Thought I'd ask advice first, before phoning the insurers or brokers, as i don't want to be hit with heavy fees.
I bet it's not just me this happens too either.

I think you have answered your own question; you have the last 2 MOT docuemtns, so send copies to the broker with a covering letter explaining that you have only just noticed the error. In the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0
