                    Hi,
We are in the process of trying to buy an old coach house that has been used for storage/garage etc for many many years, to convert into 1 bed house. Its a complete conversion (so empty shell at the mo) and will need damp proof course installing as well as power, gas, water etc. There are flagstones on the floor which we would like to keep but assume these will need lifting, damp course put in, and then relaying.
Could anyone give me a rough idea of cost to install damp proof course from scratch in such an old building ? Small ground floor area - approx 25 sq metres.
Any help - very much appreciated as don't want to get our figures wrong !

DIY or builders? Ring and ask 3 builders in the area.0

It's not really a damp prrof course, it should be a full dig out and then relay with damp proofing, insulation, concrete, plus an additional damp proof course for the walls.
Big and dirty work I'm sorry I can't guess at price because we break everything down to the cost of concrete per cubic metre, insulation per board etc.
But it won't be cheap because digging dirty great holes never is. It's work no-one wants to do themselves.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
