Feedback question...

Yesterday I had 97.4% with 47 pos and 1 neg over the past year(no idea how many of them were repeat sellers).

Today I still have the same percentage, but have gained two on my feedback score, but my % still stayed the same...how does that work? Wouldn't it have gone up slightly?

if you scroll over your DSR's there should be a pop-up with the calculation. don't make the assumption that ebay will get their coding correct though !

just adjusting for previous feedback where you've been left more than one feedback by a repeat customer. The headline feedback number is based on lifetime. The % on the last year.

i've no idea but my percentage went down with nearly 30 positive's added - work that out

i think the positives were from duplicate buys from the same person where they used to count as one, now each item is counted

Overnight I have dropped from 100% to 99.8%, which seems to be due to two neutrals I have been given in the past 12 months.

Is this right - neutrals didn't used to affect your rating

Just another way to beat up sellers then

One day maybe Ebay will realise that it's the sellers who make their money, but by then we might have all defected to a fairer auction provider.

I think it'll take years - the arrogance and disdain in which ebay hold their income providers (sellers) is breathtaking.

As you say, we need competition in the marketplace but unfortunately, there aren't many buyers on the alternative venues at the moment.

How so? Surely buyers are more important.

The feedback rating is from the last 12 months, number of positives divided by total number of feedback received (positives + neutrals + negatives) x 100.

Ebay earn nothing from the buyers, it is the seller who pays all the fees, and if the buyer pays by Paypal, the seller has to pay the fees on that as well
