What kind of price should I be looking at for a double room in Istabul, Turkey next week, any possible way to get a room for under £20 or am I just dreaming?
Cheapest I have found is £100 for 3 nights.

I was there in 2003. For my first night, I booked somewhere on Opodo: the cheapest place that would throw in an airport transfer.
The next morning, I just wandered round the tourist district with my luggage. Within minutes, someone approached me and asked if I was looking for a room. He led me to a nearby office, where I said that my budget was 20 euros per night. For that, I got a modest en suite room with a balcony overlooking the Blue Mosque. The hotel was beautiful, an my room included a lavish breakfast, served on the roof with spectacular views.
Anyway, get hold of a guide book and/or once you are there just go with the flow. Lots of places are available, and they would rather give you a good price than leave the room empty.0
