Make sure you freeze some water in rubber gloves to give you frozen hands for the apple bobbing!!
Some others i can think of
1-Cut sandwiches out with a scary shaped cookie cutter i use a bat shaped one.
2-Boil some eggs then roll them to crack shells, then soak in food colouring, when you de shell them they look like eye-balls!
3-Green jelly with sweet shoelaces in looks like brains!! Even more so if you serve with evaporated milk.
4-Buns with orange icing and black iced spider webs on top.
5-The sweet shoelaces look great if you tie them into nooses (i found out how to do this after searching google and found a step by step guide!)
6-Chicken dippers searved with blood bath (and bowl of tomato sauce!!)
If i think of any more i will post later

We used to have a fizzy drink punch with jelly worms in at brownies

There are loads of novelty penny sweets availabel like worms, rats and skulls which look great on black cupcakes (buttercream with black food colouring)

    Hi jockettuk,

There's a great thread with lots of ideas that should help so I've added your post to it to keep the suggestions together.

  • I know I could just not dust for the next month but they won't really be that impressive so does anyone have any suggestions on how you would make cobwebs for a halloween party?

been in today and yes, they have loads :)
  • Just seen a brill video (can't remember where now) which shows making a spiders web by drawing it out on I assume a laminated kitchen surface with glue from a glue gun then once its dried they peeled it off and it looked brill. Although I guess pound land will probably be cheaper!

Don't suppose anyone has a receipe for how to make your own jelly sweeties (like haribos and worm things!!) Do I just make jelly and maybe add additional gelatine??? And make them in a mould...
  • sorr if this has been posted but i havnt looked through the whole thread,
    make your own eyeballs,
stuff stoned lychees with tinned strawberries and float them in the punch bowl, good centre piece.
