Brick Cleaner has left dust residue

Hi All,
Last weekend I used B&Q brick cleaner on the front of my house (after cleaning I washed down with clean water etc.).
All looked well - however, the next day when the bricks had dried they had like a covering of dust residue ?
Will this just disappear over time (eg. after a few rainfalls), have I done something wrong, or do I need to do something to get rid if this (I was thinking of the Ronseal rain guard type, which would / might "soak up" the residue ?).
Does anybody have any tips ?

what colour is the residue? If you get a stiff brush and try to brush it off, what happens?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Hi,
The residue is like white dusty (if that makes sense !).
If I rub a brick with my hand it seems to rub off - but then comes back.
The bricks look really good when they are wet, but as soon as they dry the dust comes back.0 -
