Marks and Spencers food is overpriced for what it is Aldi and Lidl have far the better quality food in some meals as well as Tesco , Asda , Somerfeild etc. The majority of the Marks and Spencers food contain higher amounts of salt and fat.In a nutshell go to a more reasonable place for food and you can get 3-4 days worth of food for the same price for two as well, just a huge marketing ploy by Marks and Spencer.

It's all personal preference isn't it

Does anyone know if you can get a soft drink alternative to the wine as part of the deal?

From what I saw today, the answer is no. The wine had been placed next to the food and there weren't any soft drinks there.

So could you do a weekly shop for £70, ie buy 7 Main Courses, Sides and 7 bottles of wine ??, would be a good deal, but I guess when they go through the till it will all mess up

Always fine M+S food much better than the supermarkets and never found them to be higher in salt and fat.. also at least all their meals use free range eggs unlike the supermarkets!

I just called the food store in Trowbridge and they have told me that although it isn't stated in any literature, if I go in and ask someone they will be able to sort out an alternative for me.

Put it throught in 7 seperate transactions and it shouldbe fine
althought £70 for 7 dinners (albeit for 2) seems rather expensive, there's still breakfast, lunch and snacks :o

But bear in mind, £35 could be wine, so thats actually £35 for the food - £2.50 per person per day!
