Euro 5 door locks with tumblers on the inside - insurance?

I'm very aware of not leaving my keys anywhere which people could fish my car keys through the letter box but I'm pig sick of going to the door and forgetting the key.
Can I replace the lock with a tumbler on the inside?












There is no way of anyone knowing I have this type fitted without them being in my house.
The main problem I have is:
Will my insurance be bothered? The lock would have to be forced to get in the house to turn the dial.

That would not be acceptable to an insurer if you have a security condition on your policy.

The lock you describe is usually found in commercial premises on exit routes.

Security is about restricting the method of egress as well as entry. If a thief has to enter and exit via a broken window then they will not be able to take a great deal.

If the thief can enter via a window but then simply turn the thumbwheel in order to exit via the door, they will be able to take a great deal more.

If you do decide to fit them, then insurers would be able to turn down any theft related claim where the door was used for entry or exit.
