    Yep, Thirded! LOL.
Adhesive, 15Kg will cover about 7 sq mtrs, and the grout 5Kg will cover about 10 Sq Mtrs. Allow 10 - 15% extra though when ordering.

As has been said, I'd use premix adhesive for the walls and a seperate powdered grout.

For the floor use a powder adhesive (with a flexible additive if its a wood floor)and a seperate powdered grout, also have a long think about using coloured grout as I have heard from a good few people who used it and didn't like the results.

Depends a lot on how wavy and what condition your walls and floor are in.

Are you tiling the whole wall(s) up to the ceiling? For instance, if you find that the walls are slightly out and you won't be pre-levelling them with a skim of plaster, you could find yourself using masses more adhesive than you thought you would to keep everything level. (guess who is talking from experience here...! ;)) Same with the floor.

Like others above, my OH uses ready mix for the walls, and powder + flexi+ waterproofer for the floors. Never has been a fan of the combined adhesive/grout on walls as in his experience, it never looks as good in the finish. AND (he's going to hate me for saying this...) he always runs out of adhesive before the end of the job!! ;)

Don't be so tough on him

adhesive is ( ready mix) sold in BIG containers. 10/15 kg
Better to try not to have just started a new tub for the last couple of tiles.
Then you can think of a small ( expensive0 tube, but have less wasted!

Speaking of one which spent Easter tiling the downstairs cloak room.
Final wastage was three tiles and 'most' of a tube of adhesive.
