They will only put it back onto the card that you paid with. If you don't have the card they will only give you vouchers.Sorry not sure how long it takes to get back on your card.

What freeview box was it? I've had 2 Alba ones from argos which are quite frankly complete !!!!e. last one blew up on friday night so took it back on saturday without a problem. They then asked if I wanted a refund or another box. I told them another box but of a different make so I chose a goodmans. Absolutely fantastic. well worth the swop. Disappointed in Alba though.
