I returned a Freeview to Argos no problem.
Told them mine kept going to stand by, they offered me a replacement but i declined (as I had brought a cheaper one in Tesco's).
They don't test it they couldn't give a monkey's0 -
I must agree with the above, i used to work for a supplier to Argos and Argos used to accept anything as returns because they just then send it back to the supplier.
We often used to get empty boxes back.WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
Blimey what was that ?
That was your life mate
Oh I wasn’t quite ready can I have another go ?
Sorry mate only one per person.0 -
Returned mine last year to Argos, just went in and said that the shop assistant said I could return it if I couldn't get a strong enough signal. They didn't argue.0

It could very well be your coaxial cable. Cheap coax just doesn't work. Have you tried using a signal booster?
Borrow a box from someone and check if it works.
Have a look here:- www.tvcables.co.uk0 -
The best justification I have found is that you bought it to replace a working but aged ondigital box, which recieved a signal perfectly. Therefore new box must not be up to standard......0
