If you have broadband through a BT line. Did you know that you can check to see if their are any problems at your local exchange? This could possibly let you know if there may be any contention issues at your exchange.
In the results, look at 'exchange capacity information'. If your result is red or amber, this could explain any loss of speed at peak times. It will also give you a date that BT are expecting to sort this out.
It will also tell you which (if any) LLU companies are available on your exchange.
