I checked the other thread about which banks check with which credit agencies. Nationwide use Experian but someone mentioned they used Equifax with their application. I remember having problems with Equifax- they do not seem to accept my address format and give varying reports- some with very little information some with none at all. I tried to sort it out with them ages ago- sent them proof of address etc and even phoned them to make them check variations of my address but information previously held had dissappeared ands my Equifax report is still empty. I just applied for the free online trial and again they would acceot my address even though they have sent me reports to that address. (Sorry this is abit long). Anyway if they have checked with Equifax is it possible to explain and ask they use Experian?
BTW the lady said I had a low credit rating (incorrect) so I was assuming she had used a credit agency not just done an internal check.0 -
All sorted now- they phoned to say it was a problem with the address format. Have been accepted.0
