Since installing Sunbelt firewall I have not been able to download the BBC Iplayer, I have tried to include this in Sunbelts site exceptions as *.bbc.co.uk\iplayer but it will still not player. As the Sunbelt site will not accept the backslash is there another way to format the exception or am I doing something else wrong.

Could you try using a wildcard in place of the slash? Such as:
"*.bbc.co.uk*iplayer"
You can also stream most programmes through your browser.
p.s. It should be a forward slash surely?0 -
if you just add "BBC.co.uk" into the firewall everything else from that site should then work.Laters

Tried this still no different, dont know about scripts but java works on my broadband speed test so this is not blocked. At the moment I have to disable Sunbelt while I use iplayer - not a good idea really.if you just add "BBC.co.uk" into the firewall everything else from that site should then work.Change is here to stay0 -
Instaling the beta version of their firewall resolved my iplayer issues:

I would say that it's the P2P that was getting it, or at least that would be my guess.Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0

I uninstalled SPF last week as sometimes it wouldn't start properly. I'd re-installed it several times but the problem re-occured
Final straw was when it wouldn't allow me to upload my photos to Photobox.
I didn't have any problems with iPlayer though.
I now use Comodo.Dave. :wave:0
