IKEA is fairly cheap, especially for linen and curtains. Or you could try places like Dunelm or Rosebys, or even department stores, if you hang on a bit longer they'll all be having sales soon. Or maybe ebay, if you don't mind paying postage, curtains go for very little on there.0

Make your own - not difficult, but can be time-consuming without a sewing machine.
I pretty much furnished my first house from The Salvation Army as I didn't have a great deal of cash, bought some material in the sales for new seat coverings, cushions etc.
When I left to move in with my OH the stuff I didn't need any more, plus a few other bits and bobs such as the telly, went back to the Salvation Army, thus making sure that they were available for the next lot of skint people...0 -
WilkinsonsBankruptcy isn't the worst that can happen to you. The worst that can happen is your forced to live the rest of your life in abject poverty trying to repay the debts.0

eBay is excellent, just bought a lovely metal and glass coffee table for 99p!
Primark is really excellent for new duvet showers, shower curtains, towels, laundry bins plus decorative things like small pictures, artificial flowers etc.
Wilkinsons is also good too.
If you go to Ikea, look in 'bargain basement', we recently bought a table with a small scrape on for £40 from £85 and 4 chairs which had been ex display for £34 for 4, where they were £17 each.
B&Q have some reduced lighting at the moment, make a nice touch if you get a table or something like that.
Peacocks, Matalan, TK Maxx, Asda, Tesco are all really good too.£2 Coin Savers Club (Christmas)- £86£1 Jar (Christmas)- £29Christmas Vouchers Saved: £1450 -
