Hi all
I am hoping that someone can help me me here. my children are 9&8 and my husband and i have been together for around 6 years now and married for 2. My chldren have had no conact ith thier biological father in all of this time and i we are hoping that my husband may be able to legally adopt the children that have called him daddy ever since they could talk. Has anyone here gone through a similar procedure or does anyone else know anything about this?
Brouad question i know but really could use some advice.
Thanks in advance all

been through something like this, it depends as far as i was told a few years ago if the natural father is on the birth certificate, but also aswell as your husband having to adopt the children you have to also adopt your own children, this idea i didn't like but according to the solicitor there is no way round this and i didn't want to be my natural sons adopted mother so we decided against this as i thought it was wrong but its what you feel comfortable with.0

If he (the ex) has parental responsibility (doesn't matter if he is named on the birth certificate or not prior to 2002 IIRC, unless you were married) then yes, you need his say so. If not then go ahead.553780080
