Dahab Hilton Egypt

Going to Dahab in Egypt next month staying at the Dahab Hilton, anyone got any recommendations on where to go for days out? Not a diver! Also not too sure which currency to take, is it better to have egyptian pounds or easier to use cash point card?

Apart from snorkelling, Mt Sinai walk, Coloured Canyons walk/drive, night in the desert, kite surfing, wind surfing, eating, drinking, shopping...

As for money, sufficient ATMs to keep you going, but take some GBP cash just in case.
