Hello and congratulations,
I have been following your threads over the last couple of weeks with interest, I am just about to go on a DMP myself and my biggest creditor is NR £12K unsecured loan having read some of the horror stories on this site having been wondering if I shoulf carry on paying the monthly installments or tie it in with the DMP with all of my other creditors.. Could do with some advice!!
Caz, I could be wrong but I am 99& certain that you're supposed to include all your unsecured debts into a DMP, think otherwise if other creditors find out you're seemingly favouring one over the others by paying your normal repayments to them the others could take the hump and won't accept the lower repayments/freeze interest, sure someone else can advise if this is correct but sure I've read this before xMoney doesn't make you happy so I'm skint but cheerful :beer:0 -

Hi Caz
Poppy is right, you do have to include ALL debts in your DMP, particulary if you are using Payplan or CCCS. I wanted to keep NR out of the picture too and continue to pay them but it wasn't an option. The repayment is actually quite affordable, especially without everyone else getting the full whack, but I've been told if I pay them the full amount CCCS will kick me off the plan. I have thought about coming away from CCCS and doing things myself now that most creditors have agreed to DMP, so that I could pay NR what they want, but tbh, I don't think that I will. CQ's story has given me great hope - I may not be as lucky but who knows. The main thing is I will not be bullied by NR into paying more money than I can afford. They actually had the cheek to tell me one day when I rang that they had "gone every which way to help me"! I was gobsmacked, as nothing could be further from the truth. Hopefully the judges will get wise to NR tactics and start to refuse more of their charging orders -after all they are only doing it to make their own pathetic bank balance look more healthy! :rolleyes:0 -
Hi,
Caz, we had to have all our Creditors on our DMP with Payplan, i agree with what's been said about you having to include all your creditors.
Out of the two CO's for us the debt with NR was the highest it was suppose to be £5.5k but with interest it ended up being £6k. And they still came after us for that amount for a charging order.
So really no matter how little amount you owe to creditors , they can still go for a CO. We were told a debt as low as £1.5k can be made into a CO, which really shocked us !
All the advise we have had from Payplan and National Debtline have been brillant, i can't praise them enough.
