Hi looking for some advice on getting back bank charges, totted up over last 6 years i will have paid over £3000 in bank charges sometimes over £300 a month! As the bank will pay my standing orders ect then charge me dramatically for these £35 pound for a £8.00 cheque!, i am a single parent with no income at the moment, as just finished university so would love to re claim these even though there is a big notice on lloyds tsb web site saying these wont be delt with till all court cases regarding bank charges are finished! Only thing worrying me is if i re claim these charges they will close my account, my credit rating is shot to bits and i know if i try to get another bank account it will be a bog standard one if i can get one at all! account i have with lloydstsb in a current student account with cheque book which i use a lot to pay my bills as i live in the outback and local post office has closed down so to be honest my cheque book is my life line to paying bills do most banks close accounts after this action has been taken or are friends telling me fibs! Pleaseeeeeeeee help.

No, although nothing can be guaranteed, Lloyds do not routinely close a/c's when making a claim
