I've lost the entire contents of my OE Inbox and have been given the following instructions by an IT friend but don't know how to do it!! Help please

Go into a DOS command window (I should say 'MSDOS') and typing at the root of your c: drive:
    cd \
    dir inbox*.* /s

If you're on Windows XP, select Run... and then type in cmd.exe

This will take you to a command window - not quite sure what the above does....
