Typical Barclaycard Credit Limit?

Last Friday I applied for the Barclaycard LOB 6.5% card with 0% on purchases for 10 months. They offered me the 19.9% APR instead of the 15.9% but that's understandable as I am rebuilding my credit after some "mistakes" 3 years ago. I have a Capital One Classic that I've used to get to this stage and I now want to transfer the £800 balance on to this new card.
My question is, has anyone else been in similar circumstances, and if so, what is the typical credit limit I can expect?
Obviously, I realise all limits are different and tailored individually - just curious if it might cover the balance transfer.
Thanks in advance.

Expect anything from £100 to £20000

They tend to be quite low compared to others.
I got one from them for the free money on their oyster card last year, they gave me 19.9% instead of 15.9%. I dumped them after i got the free money as i intended tho.heybankrobber wrote: »Last Friday I applied for the Barclaycard LOB 6.5% card with 0% on purchases for 10 months. In my experience, Barclays have given me the lowest limit of any of my cards.
However, the deals (0%) etc were competitive at the time0 -
Thanks for the replies. If it is a low amount hopefully it will still cover the BT.
Skyrider, I assume you mean £1000 to £2000, with their minimum being £250?
Anyway, will find out soon - just curious and impatient!0 -
yea it's really hard to say bankrobber, what with everything they need to take into account. Hopefully you'll get what you need, if not you'll still save money though right?
800 is hardly anything of a credit limit though, you should get enough easy (what do I know though)Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 784 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -
As mentioned above, it all depends on individual factors, however it would appear that they have the lowest limits. My Virgin card gave me £10k at introduction and my other cards have typically given me £4k. Barclaycard only gave me £1600.
Oh well, at least I will have enjoyed a 0% year with them and will drop them next month with the excuse that the limit wasn't high enough to be of any use to me.0 -
Just to throw confusion in the works Barclaycard gave me £14990 limit whereas Virgin was much lower at £2000 !
I seem to be the exception rather than the rule though!Best Regards,

Got the card today with a £1000 limit. Works out well for the balance transfer and I can continue to build up my credit rating for the next few months.
Thanks to everyone for their comments.0
