Hotel in middle between Prestwold Hall & Alton Towers

Can anyone advise of some hotels in between Prestwold Hall & Alton Towers?

My BF has got a driving experience on 5th July and there's no way I am traveling from Glasgow to miss out on some fun so I want to incorporate Alton Towers into the weekend - is one hotel feasible for both nights/venues?

when we last went to Alton Towers we stayed here (it was half hr drive away):

Depends how long you want to spend at each and whether you want to sight-see at all, but my suggestions would be for normal functional trunk road hotels on the direct route between the 2 places (mainly A6/A50) ...

sorry to resurrect such an old post but I have a similar question.

My partner has an experience day at Prestwold and we are looking for accommodation, I have found the Yew Lodge premier Best Western and its taken my fancy (and its affordable, the two don't normally go together with my taste lol), does anyone know if this is too far away?

It says twenty minutes but I guess that's factoring out traffic etc? Plus we are planning to go over Easter and have a long drive from the South Coast on the Friday - are we insane to even contemplate going out over Easter? We're very sad and rarely go outside a 50 mile radius of home (if we do we get the bus or train!)

I still can't believe anyone stays in this hotel :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::D
saying that, there is a good indian just down the road. you just have to dodge the knife wielding p'sed up chavs on the way.
