Discounts in London - Pubs, Restaurants etc

Myself and the wife are off to London for a few days in June. We will be staying in the Earls Court area, and would appreciate any ideas or suggestions to go for a cheap meal, drink etc.
I appreciate that cheap in London might be dear elsewhere, but any advice would be greatly appreciated.:beer:
