Car failed MOT due to rust

    No its more of a fold than a split, I was going to try and get a second opinion at the weekend

    If it's 30cm away, then it can't fail.

    Is there actualy a hole.....You cant fail an MOT just for a simple dent no matter where it is.

  • hmmm I think I would trust the garage more than an amatuer mechanic trying to get out of paying to fix something

    I very much doubt the MOT'er would lie either given its fairly obvious you would claim under warranty and find out there deception

    The only point you could of failed for is 'severe distortion' within 30cm of a mount.
    The interpretation of this will vary greatly depending on the tester.
