Blimey I wish I had ever had £66k yearly income when DH and I were both working full time-we at one point had an income of £36,000 between us and din't qualify for any child care element at all (this was about 4 years ago,so perhaps it's changed since then?)Tomorrow is always fresh, with no mistakes in it!0

I hope you get some help Suzi

I'm very grateful for the tax credit system and, as a lone parent, they have allowed me to go out and work which I think it great and whenever I have had to call them I have found them very helpful and friendly.

Not much no, i will not receive any help with childcare costs at £66k earnings. Have to fund it myself, although i should hopefully only have the child in care 4 days max, 3 days normally, and my wife and I's employers both do the childcare voucher scheme so that offsets against tax.
A £36k salary today 'may' give you some childcare costs back depending on how much you spend on childcare per week.
If it was £100pw, you probably wouldn't get anything.
If it was £200pw, you would probably get a little something.
Like i said in my 1st post, it all depends on what level of expenditure per week you spend on childcare as to how much benefit you'll receive.0
