Very Nice (Not Granny) Net Curtains (and cheap!!)

I buy all my nets from linens direct. They are more like voile than net. They have a website www.lduk.co.uk but don't show many nets on there. Much better selection if you visit the store if you have one near you. They do a lot of cheap off cuts too that are quite big. Only thing I find with getting my voiles off the roll is that you have to tape or sew the sides as they fray.elvis_bloggs wrote:When I buy net curtains I buy 4 times the width of the window, is that about right, or is there some secret formula.
I think you just double the width of the window measurement.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
ikea do netting for 50p/m, and netting is really easy to hem by hand, or you can just use bondaweb (again ikea sell this really cheaply)
i usually go for 2 times the width, else they are too thick to see out of
although as you say, net is a bit granny, so i tend to use voile - ikea and glynn webb are both cheap for ready made voile curtains, but the ikea include a roll of bondaweb, ready to adjust the length
