Furniture Storage

Apologies for the cross posting (here and in the Scotland thread).
I currently live just outside Glasgow but am going travelling for a year or so in a few months. I need to arrange some storage for the furniture in my 2 bed flat but am not sure what price i should expect to pay or where is good.
I am imaginging Glasgow prices will be expensive so i am happy to travel an hour or two to get lower prices.
Any ideas?

You could try http://www.safestore.co.uk/ they do claim to beat any quote and have a store in Glasgow. You need to call them for a price though.

You could try renting someone's garage. I rent mine out to a theatre company for storage at £40 a month, no idea if that's cheaper than safestore in Glasgow though, as I'm in Oxfordshire.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Dont bother with self storage, they are very expensive when compared with traditional removal companies. Try Bishops Move in Glasgow.0

Thanks Dark Horse, but they come in around the same price as the self storage companies.
Cheapest so far is ACE removals in Paisley - around £13 a month for 25 ft cubed container including uplift.
Cheaper because you store stuff in a sealed container - you can't access it in rooms like most self store places. That suits us as we'll be out of the country and won't need access.
Can anyone beat that?
