Television that has not yet arrived? Help!

On 17/08/05 I ordered a Sony KLV-20SR3 TV 20 inch from a company named " Internet Direct". (internetdirect.co.uk)

I paid for this on my Tesco Credit Card and delivery was expected within 8-10 days.
It is now one month and one day on and the television has not yet been delivered.

I only seem to be able to contact this company via email and the responce I have had is that they are awaiting delivery from their suppliers. I have been given the option to cancel my order but this site was the most cheepest I could find (£372.99)

Has anyone else used this site and had problems? Do you think that they are unable to keep their side of the order and are hoping that I will cancel my order? I have had a look on their web site and it still states 8-10 day for delivery.

Not sure if I have posted this in the correct place so if I haven't sorry!

Have you tried contacting your credit card company as they might be able to give the company a bit of a push?

If they have given you the option to cancel then your credit card company will not be interested.

Why not cancel and ring weekly or whatever to see when they have stock. When they have stock place your order.

I have taken gizmoleeds suggestion and have tried for two days to contact this company on the land line but it is continually engaged. I have also sent two emails asking where my order is yet no reply.

I begining to think they may have run off with my money!

Has the money actually been debited from your card?

pixmania.com through pricerunner.co.uk will do it for £406 delivered, its also instock.

I'm guessing you have another tv you can be using.

I with you on this one Ben; the OP should get a refund and then re-order it from pixmania using the pricerunner voucher for a £7 discount and then use Quidco etc and get another 4% off bringing the price down to £390.34 inc shipping.

EDIT: Just looked at .internetdirect.co.uk; quite a few items are showing as either "out of stock" or "unavailable" which are freely available from other stores. What with the poor account posting i'd get your money back quick before this store becomes a feature on next weeks BBC Watchdog!!

I'm not sure where you live but these people ( http://www.ajelectronics.co.uk/ViewProdDetails.asp?prod_code=KLV-20SR3&Prod_name=Sony%20KLV-20SR3%2020%22%20LCD%20Television&CAT_CODE=7 ) have it in stock at £399.99 but is collection only. They are in Edgware Road in London (Near Marble Arch).

Additionally, it is on buy now pay in 9 months interest free with a 10% deposit.
