Problematic cistern driving me nuts!!

I am still having problem with my cistern, it has been re-installed & repositioned. The leaks stopped for a week and then restarted again. We have changed washer as the one provided is a flat one, we thought it did the trick but now it has started to dribble again. No matter what remedy was tried there was still a leak at some point at the joint esp when flushing, just drips but annoying. I wonder whether I will have to put up with a leaking cistern as nobody seems to be able to fix it. I would welcome some advice, please. I feel, I am going to smash the cistern and get another model. Thanks

Good afternoon: Call the installer back to rectify the problem. Has the manufacturer been contacted about this issue? The toilet/fittings could be defective or the installer is inexperienced/incompetent.

The installer has done its best to rectify the problem. He is very good and has never come across this. He thinks since the cistern cannot be installed directly to the wall, that could be the reason. I have got a pipe behind the cistern and we have to use a piece of wood to fix the cistern. The manufacturer's has been great and sent spare parts, but the washer seems to be flat, we tried another universal one which is thicker, and this stopped the leak for a week and then it restarted again. As a last resort, we will try to fit a new fit push button outlet valve (flush valve), the fitter says the outlet valve is short compared to my old one and when the toilet is flushed, water tends to seep through. My husband says the same thing. I am due to have a plumbing check up from my insurance, I will see whether they can help. In the meantime, I have got containers to catch the dribble. Thanks0
