looking for highstreet bank account that comes with cashpoint card

Options
Hi,

A friend of mine is looking to start saving some money regularly each month for an "emergency" fund but doesn't like using the internet and wants an account that comes with a cashpoint card.

I can't seem to see which of the best (highest interest rate) accounts listed on this website and others definitely include a cashpoint card, unless i'm missing something.

can anyone point me in the right direction / or suggestan account?

Thanks in advance :)

I've just looked on MoneyFacts and the highest rates are:
Citibank - 6.03% AER Rate includes variable bonus (currently 1.31%) for 9 months
    Tesco - 3.85% AER
Barclays - 3.75% AER Rate includes 0.75% bonus for 12 months

Abbey eSaver although it is an online account you get a cashpoint card with it - around 6% includes a bonus

Abbey Esaver Direct pays 6.5% as long as you don't withdraw, comes with a cashcard, and can be opened in branch. Esaver pays a bit under 6%, and needs to be opened online though can be managed using cash machines afterwards.
  • Post Office Instant Saver does, I think. 5.75% AER including a 1.5% bonus for first 12 months. But after the first 6 withdrawals per year you pay £1 a time.
  • Thanks for the help everyone :)

Is there a way to search the "usual websites" as it were for accounts with cash cards?

If they can pay in £500 / month (even if it comes out again!) A&L Premier Direct gives you 8.5% for one year.. you get a card with that as its effectively a current account.
