Is it acceptable for a For Sale sign to still be up a week after offer accepted?

We had an offer accepted almost 3 weeks ago and the for sale sign was still up until the end of last week. It didn't even say 'under offer' on the EA's website until last week. I think they probably wanted to make sure everything was going ahead okay. I must admit I did sigh a bit with relief when I saw the sign was down lol
I also kept our for sale posters up for almost 2 weeks after we accepted an offer on our house. I would have taken them down straight away but our EA never told us when it would have been okay to (we have no boards, just posters on the windows). I eventually took them down because I was imagining our buyers must be thinking we're holding out for a better offer! Our house sold so quickly I would only have had them up for 4 days if we'd taken them down straight away.0 -
The EA finally got round to putting a sold sign up on our house 2 days after we moved in!Loving the dtd thread. x0
