Hi there
Does anyone have any suggestions of things to do in South Devon next week, if weather is bad.
Hoping to spend most of the time on the beach ,but you never know with British weather....
cheers

Whereabouts in South Devon? Plymouth offers a few indoor attractions iirc.
Have just remembered this place (although prob no good if pouring with rain):
http://www.ottersandbutterflies.co.uk/
also Paignton has quite a nice big zoo.
There are some nice National Trust properties in the area.
Dartmouth has quite a pleasant little shopping centre for pottering around plus (again if its not raining) you can take a nice boat trip up the estuary).
I love South Devon ;0)0 -

Salcombe/Kingsbridge area
Yes, Paignton Zoo is on our list, but not so good if its raining.
There is The Aquarium at Plymouth, but its expensive (do u know of any offers?)
Went to the otter/butterfly place (such a strange combination!) a few years back, and wasn't overly impressed especially with the entrance fee!!
fingers crossed it stays dry...Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

Ooh, thats exactly where we go too! Its such a lovely area - I hope you have good weather and have a lovely time. The past couple of years we have rented an apartment overlooking the estuary in Kingsbridge - its so nice to sit outside the Crabshell Quay Inn in the sunshine and have a beer or several
Have also just remembered the Cider press centre:

There is also the House of Marbles which is quite fun (we stopped there on the way back last time for some lunch - lovely meals and lots of pretty things to buy!)

Come to Exeter, and get all your shopping done in the new Princesshay centre. Thanks to this new and prestigious development, even us West Country folk can now spend our money in an environment that offers all the ambience of Milton Keynes. And we even have an Argos nearby.0

Plymouth Aquarium can be paid for using Tesco clubcard deals. Also a few tesco clubcard restaurants in the city centre - need to walk from the Aquarium but it is possible to do.0
