When to send a second chance offer?

Sold something on saturday for £200, not heard a peep from the buyer despite sending invoices and emails.

I cant file an unpaid until May 24th, but at what point would you recommend I send the second chance offer?

There is nothing to stop you doing a SCO as soon as you like but you run the risk that the original buyer is just away from his pC or has sent a cheque in payment. If he pays and you have already sold the item to someone else then you will end up with a neg and a non performing seller complaint which is risky under the 'bottom 5% of sellers' rule.

Buyers have a 7 day period in which to pay and as they now hold all the cards we need to be careful as sellers to do everything by the book.

If however ther eis anything in the feedback that makes you suspect this buyer may be a scammer or a time waster then maybe risk a SCO, but if the buyer looks oK then wait at least for the 7 days that ebay allow.

I wouldn't offer a second chance until I had either heard that the buyer no longer wanted the item or on 24th May after starting unpaid dispute.

Thanks guys, he is active and bidding up until last night, but he has good feedback so looks like I'll have to wait.

I go away on saturday for a week though so I cant file anything until the following saturday :(
