Shares!

Hi everyone,

Not sure if I've posted this in the right place so please correct me if it is.

I was wondering how to make money out of shares? I dont currently own any and dont have a clue how to buy/use them or how the market works. Can anyone tell me how it works and if it's something that can make you money or not?

I would say avoid the stock market unless you know what you are doing, otherwise it is essentially gambling. The market is volatile at the moment due to the credit crunch/oil prices etc so it is not a good time to go throwing lots of money away.

Can make you loads of money if done properly.

You might want to start of shares that are trading in pennies.

Setup a account at TD Waterhouse.

Before you do that you might want to do virtual trading.

Its all fake so you got nothing to lose but the data is real market data. Good way to learn. Thats how i started off am now making £30,000+ now

Am interested - and have been since our economics teacher bought an FT that was a few weeks old, told us to pick some shares, and then looked them up that same day!!

Intrested in the naked trader too, will buy his book after payday.
