A friends mum is going to italy in a few weeks for a wedding. She already has her insurance but has just fallen down and broken her foot.
Where would she stand regarding the insurance, would it be void if she travels but doesnt inform them?
any experiences?

Hopefully someone will confirm what I am about to say ... and it can depend on the wording of the insurance - they all can vary.
The insurance is already in place, the contact formed, so imho there is no need for her to worry, it is different for pre-existing illnesses or injuries, or if she were travelling against doctor's orders ... if she wants to be totally sure and have it on record, she could, but I don't think she needs to advise the Insurers.
*EDIT* Please forgive, ok? It's nice to start the day with a smile, and I am still smiling at your post, lol, and that you asked how she would stand after she has fallen down and broken her foot. it cracked me up ... meant in a good way, so forgive, ok,If many little people, in many little places, do many little things,

Sorry, but I have to disagree with that. I think you will find somewhere on the policy a clause which states" You must inform the insurance company of any change in the health of anyone travelling which could result in a claim" Very important!0

Agree with Hansi, but she could claim back the holiday cost and not go.
Just shows you should have insurance long before you go.0
