IB review in oct.

Hi after filling in an IB50 a few months ago I have today been sent a letter telling me I met my pca with the required 15 points or over and I do not need to send any more doctors certs..

Now the letter goes on to say my case will be up for review again in October so does this mean I will have to go through all the waiting and worrying after filling out the IB50 or will they just contact my doctor this time round.

Also does this now mean my dla is safe for a while,my award is indefinite but I also know the two benefits effect each other (if ib stops then this usually triggers the dla review).
This is my first year claiming it but I know from reading on here how this sometimes happen.

I just wish the benefit agencies had some idea what this constant worry does to people who are already in a haze of pain due to their illness without all this piled on top.

If your PCA is due to be reviewed again in Oct, then yes, you'll be sent an IB50 to complete and return, and go through the PCA process again. This is the normal control process for an IB claim.

IB and DLA are separate benefits with different entitlement conditions. The IB section would not normally tell the DLA section if, for example, you failed the PCA, as this may not normally affect the DLA award.

However, if someone on IB was found to be working (over the permitted work levels), then the JCP/DWP fraud section may well tell DLA. It would then be for a DLA Decision Maker to re/consider the DLA claim.

Thank you,I wont worry about it for a few months as I hate filling those forms out and get myself all in knots worrying.
I have tried to get someone to help me fill the forms in before now but there is never anyone available when I need them.
