How do I buff/polish/shine my wooden flooring?

My wooden flooring in my living room looks dull and I'm forever cleaning it....all I can see is buffers that cost a fortune!! Any tips on how to polish my wooden flooring?

Don't !
a. It will be slippery and dangerous.
b. The more gloss the finish, the more marks will show on it.
If it is a good quality wood floor, the best bet is to get it sanded down and re-sealed with a satin/semi-gloss sealer.0
