Barratt Announcement?

There will be a Barratt announcement to staff at 10am tomorrow morning, however I do not know what will be said at this moment in time.0

Maybe the same as Taylor Wimpeys announcement today?
TW have failed to secure funding and have axed 900 jobs. Share price 35p and were trading at circa 300p in September 2007.0 -
I certainly believe there will be office mergers and closures, although I wouldnt like to say which at present. And of course, if that happens, staff will be put on consultation. TW announced the job losses a while back now, and I can only assume that the consulation period is pretty much done for them now, which is why they've announced it today. Albeit, 300 more than the original 600 they suggested.
I'll be in one of those meetings tomorrow - at the moment, I reckon i'm facing my 2nd redundancy in the space of 12 months.0 -
Good luck TimmyP
Every site I visit at the moment they have depleted levels of staff. Site managers leaving left, right and centre.
Good luck again.0 -

Ouch - best of luck Timmy. Have a dodgy group hug.
:grouphug:...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Barratts have called all their staff to hotels for meetings today. some decision will be made at 10 am my wife works for them and is expecting it to be about redundancies at the least!0

Barratts are merging the east midlands into one division which will create about 456 redundancies including 11% manual, 7% clerical, 54% professional, 31% managerial. All area's will be affected over England so don't be surprised if there are a lot more jobs loses and eventually a complete collapse. Staff at my wife's office have been advised by their senior management to take the redundancies now as money may not be available later.0

Rat365, sorry but have to disagree with you on your post - except for the fact that Barratt East Mids and David Wilson North Mids are merging to create Barratt North Midlands.
There are 456 people in the division of which around 20% are to be made redundant, which will be from a mixture of disciplines. The new board will be decided within the next few hours. There is no voluntary redundancy option at present. All staff will be interviewed within the next 2-3 weeks for their jobs.0 -
