I hope someone can help. I really want to get our finances sort out before baby comes! and i have never made a claim for benefits before and find the online calculation very confusing.
I am currently working and get £17154 a year gross.
hubby gets £17028 a year gross (£280 net a week) He is agency so if he doesnt work for holiday or sick he wont get paid.
I am due to start maternity leave on 1st November and baby due 21st Nov.
I will get 90% of weekly pay for the first 6 weeks then smp for 33 weeks of £117 per week.
I am hoping not to return to work but can't work out how much child tax or working tax credit i would be entitled to.
If anyone can work this out, i'd be really grateful so I will be able to know if I can afford to take a few years off work
