What wireless router?

Hi all you techies. It's 01.52, just as you guys are starting to play. So I thought now would be a good time to ask what would be the best wireless router to use. I have 2 athlon pc's, one is a week old both have network cards. I am working on a 1-2 meg broadband with tiscali (it says 2.2 meg but I am sceptical as I only pay for 1 meg) I would like to use one in a bed room and one in the garage (integral). Any advice would be appreciated. I will go to bed now while you educated people ponder my problem. Thanks for any help!

A wireless 801.11B/G router from Belkin or Linksys will probably be the best (and good value). However, make sure your modem has an ethernet socket to connect to the router, rather than just USB. If it's USB only you'll either need a new modem, or a router with modem built in.

If it's just a router you want, not router/modem, have a look at the KCorp KLG-575.

It's very good value for money, only £40-45, has super-g (35% faster than regular 801.11g if you have a card to support it) and performs very well in terms of signal strength and transfer speeds (one of the fastest in fact). It was the labs winner in the most recent PC Pro review of Wireless routers.

I bought one the other week and have so far been very impressed by it.
